Exercising prevents extra sizes in children.

I never once went out of my way to actively exercise my body until I joined the military and I realized how unhealthy my body was at the time. Now I lift weights, run regularly, and practice healthy eating habits to maintain my body’s health. Nutrition and exercise are the two main lectures that I preach to my children to practice everyday because growing up I didn’t necessarily eat healthy or understand that sport and recreation was important for my body’s development. Swimming and teaching nutritional values are two ideas that my family is focusing  on practicing so we can all have a happier and healthier life. 149-children-running-600x400

Children’s Entertainment


As a father to six and four year-old boys I’ve learned that it is quite easy to entertain them by streaming children’s shows or movies. The shows and movies that they watch are monitored closely by myself and judged according to educational content, a positive moral narrative, and equal treatment of gender, race, and ethnicity (culture). The boys do have a strict time limit of watching television at one to two hours a day or none at all depending on their behavior. Finding alternative methods of entertainment for my children can be a challenge at times; however, we as a family always come up with entertaining activities for the children that also keep the parent involved.

This blog site will critically review children’s shows on streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix while also providing and critiquing other forms of children’s entertainment for the whole family. It is important to me and to many other parents in the world to positively entertain our children with content that will help them grow into competent adults. 12393236_f520
